I have the great opportunity to go to South Africa to work with Jeff and Abby Hunt with Engage Africa, for three months in 2016. Whether in giving, working overseas or working in my own town, it seems like I have been involved in mission work all my life. I support Jeff and Abby’s vision and all that they are doing.

I have had a personal relationship with Jesus since I was a young girl. I love and trust Him to the fullest, and Jesus is my everything. I enjoy doing women’s Bible studies, singing in the church choir, praying for other’s needs and helping deliver food to and running errands for people in our town. I feel blessed to have worked with great churches who support missions. Some of the mission trips I have been on include living and working as a house mother in Thailand for sixteen months, helping in Africa and China on mission trips and many trips to Mexico.

An extended Africa mission trip is something that I have wanted to do for a few years. I know that God is going to use me and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Hebrews 10: 24-25 says: And let us consider how we can spur on another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day coming.

UPDATE - I AM GOING BACK TO SOUTH AFRICA!
It has been 7 years since my second trip to South Africa. I truly enjoyed the ministry opportunities that God gave me when I was there. I left feeling like God had plans for me to return and work with the Hunts.

In 2017, I was told that I had Kidney and liver problems. I went on the transplant list and God came through organizing donor organs in 2019. Since the surgery, I have been recovering and building up strength. Two months ago my doctor gave me the ok to travel internationally. I knew that this was my opportunity to return to SA and work with the Hunts again. As I look back on the past five years I think of
Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

I can hardly wait to work with the kids at Hope Church and help work in the new baby shelter. I know God has big plans for me.

Please continue to pray for me as I prepare to go back on the mission field for 3 months. I know there is power in prayer, and I know that with your help God will continue to make a way for me to fulfill what He has called me to.
