Since moving to South Africa 14 years ago we have fallen in love with 2 new Christmas traditions. The first is Opening presents on Christmas morning and then spending the afternoon around the pool. It has been a little bit of a transition but we have decided that warm is so much nicer than cold. The second tradition is

HOPE CHURCH CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!

This years party was much like years past. Lots of kids, lots of fun, and lots of gifts! We were able to host just under 250 kids this year and a little over 100 adults. The kids got the traditional Happy Meal from McDonalds and a gift bag that included candy, soap and wash cloth, tooth brush and paste, school supplies, and a toy. The adults received a hamper of nonperishable food items.

Fun was had by all as we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
