My Passion ...is to be a willing vessel for God by serving others in love - taking every opportunity to plant seeds of faith, and then teaching and discipling others, no matter how young they are. I also long to be an instrument through which God can grow hearts like David's - completely devoted to worshiping the Most High.
My Location ...Rustenburg, the fastest growing city in South Africa, is located in one of the wealthiest valleys in Africa producing more than 75% of the world’s platinum. However, it is home to some of the poorest people -many of whom live in small shacks in informal settlements because they cannot afford or do not qualify for proper housing.
Who am I? …I was born and raised in southern Wisconsin, where I grew up with my two brothers and sister. My faith has always been central to my life from the beginning. At age 12, I began serving on my local church’s worship team, where I discovered the joy of leading others in praise. Over the years, I learned piano, guitar, drums. My voice and songwriting also became another way for me to glorify God. In recent years, I’ve also taken on the role of youth leader, a position I’ve held for the past three years. I’ve learned how to connect with young people, walk with them through challenges, and point them toward Jesus. Discipling young people has become one of my greatest joys. Additionally, I’ve worked for the local school district for three years, where I’ve had the opportunity to teach grades 6–12, building my skills in accommodating different learning styles and helping to deescalate challenging situations.
My Goals
- Work alongside Jeff and Abby Hunt to help grow Hope Church in Freedom Park, establish new groups of believers in Dinie Estates and other communities around the greater Rustenburg area.
- Support the growth and development of the ministry at the Engage Africa property, including the Bridge of Hope Children’s Home and other ministry efforts God is using to impact the community.
- Disciple and train local youth to carry the Gospel into their own communities.
- To cultivate and equip local worship leaders in South African churches in developing culturally relevant, Christ-centered worship that empower communities to encounter God deeply through music.

Prayer Needs
- For the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to spiritually blinded eyes so that people encounter the resurrected life of Jesus.
- That God would open doors for meaningful partnerships with local churches for ministry opportunities.
- For a more in depth grasp and understanding of the African cultures I are called to serve.
- That God would move in the hearts of individuals and churches to financially partner with me and support the mission of Engage Africa.
- For continued growth in wisdom and clarity of God’s vision and plan for me in South Africa.
Note from Jeff and Abby
We are hoping and praying that the Aubrey will be joining our Engage Africa Team in South Africa in the near future. We are excited to have the opportunity to work with her in ministry and we know that God has big plans for her. She has a lot to do in order to be able to come to the mission field, and there are a couple of ways that you can help:
1) Pray for Her. As she begins this process to come to the mission field full-time, She will need your prayers. Pray that God will continue to prepare her with exactly what she needs to be successful in the itineration process and when she begins her ministry in South Africa. I know she will covet your prayers.
2) Give. If you are burdened to help don't hesitate…give now. If you click on the link below it will take you to their donation page. All gifts online will go through PayPal and be tagged for the Stuemke family. You are welcome to give one-time gifts, sign up to give monthly, or do both.
